Glimpse Jay Shepheard Alex Jones - The Lazer Bather EP

"Production powerhouse Glimpse returns from recent outings on Planet E & Cadenza to provide one of this summer's must have releases…
In the last few years there have been a select number of producers who have truly stood out from the pack to join the ranks of the revered, and leading the bunch has got to be Chris Spero AKA Glimpse. Spero set up his Glimpse Recordings imprint in 2005 purely to deal with his own releases, but it wasn't long before his exceptional production skills drew the attention of some of the most respected electronic labels in the world. Four Twenty Recordings, Hypercolour and Leftroom were soon joined by Carl Craig's Planet E and Luciano's Cadenza as official keepers of the sound of Glimpse. Despite this Spero has had the great sense to maintain his own label keeping some true gems to disperse on his beloved imprint. This EP sees him teaming up with Jay Shepheard, the much respected Compost artist who pools his talent here with Spero to create something quite special.
The last Glimpse Recordings release '5 Easy Pieces' was released in 2008 and was one of the most hotly tipped underground records of the year garnering support from the likes of Ripperton, Tiefschwarz, Akufen, Garnier etc. Now it's time for 2009 to make space for the 'Lazer Bather EP' a single in 7 pieces that is likely to be shaking dancefloors across the world for the foreseeable future.
The 'Lazer Bather EP' is a glorious aural feast, showcasing the best of house music from Glimpse & Jay Shepheard and friends. The EP features 2 collaborations with Shepheard, likewise with Alex Jones from Hypercolour, as well as original cuts from Spero and an exclusive track from Jay Shepheard on his own. It also sees Shenoda and Cesare vs Disorder on remix duty.
This is a release that provides variety and quality at every turn, from the old school house anthem of 'Colours' to the deep, jackin' stylings of 'Bad Monday' it truly is a joy to behold. Add Shenoda's wonderful mix of 'In my Soul' and Shepheard's soulful 'Here Comes' and along with the rest of this superb EP you have a sterling slice of the best electronic music has to offer.
This is without a doubt essential listening for 2009.
" Check the back!
